Quality of "Monorail Projects" Section

[edit]

Full disclosure, I work in the Monorail industry.

I have the following concerns regarding this section ...

1. The statement "Currently Scomi is one of only two companies in the world providing integrated monorail solutions ..." is incorrect. The global monorail industry includes ...

- Scomi from Malaysia - Bombardier Transportation from Canada (http://www.bombardier.com/en/transportation/products-services/rail-vehicles/automated-monorails.html) - Hitachi from Japan (http://www.hitachi-rail.com/products/rolling_stock/monorail/)

... There may be other new entrants into the market from both China and Spain (citation needed) ?!

2. I believe that the "Sao Paulo Metro Line 17 Gold" project is ongoing and has yet to be commissioned. I recommend that this project be identified as "ongoing", otherwise the project appears to be complete to the layperson.

3. In general, I do not believe that this article meets wikipedia's quality standards. For example ...

- A citation is needed when referencing a project's "margins are between 10% and 20%" - "Once the job is completed some time mid next year" is vague - Statements like "grab more jobs" and "sweeten its track record" seem to be along the lines of self promotion. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 67.193.109.144 (talk) 02:53, 7 October 2013 (UTC)Reply
