The article on pterosaurs says,

Comparisons between the scleral rings of pterosaurs and modern birds and reptiles have been used to infer daily activity patterns of pterosaurs;

specifically with reference to whether a species was diurnal or nocturnal. It would be useful if the present article explained how sclerotic (or scleral) rings may indicate such patterns of activity. J. D. Crutchfield | Talk 18:43, 9 June 2014 (UTC)Reply
