[edit]

I feel there is enough material and sources to justify separate articles for School Friend (story paper) and School Friend (comic), which otherwise share only a name, publisher and the presence of Bessie Bunter. School Friend would be retained as a disambig in recognition of the roughly equal importance Against that they have different formats, creative teams, publishing history, 99% of content and the 21-year gap in publication (in contrast to Girls' Crystal, which maintained publication). As far as I can tell there was no attempt to 'link' the two titles via design, much like the way AP/Fleetway/IPC occasionally revived story-paper names like Ranger and Champion seemingly at random. Any thoughts and/or violent death threats? BoomboxTestarossa (talk) 12:14, 19 September 2023 (UTC)Reply

That makes sense to me. Tacyarg (talk) 13:42, 19 September 2023 (UTC)Reply
That and the lack of anyone travelling back in time to stop me is enough for me to Be Bold =) BoomboxTestarossa (talk) 23:33, 21 September 2023 (UTC)Reply

Constructing Girlhood: Popular Magazines for Girls Growing up in England, 1920-1950. Taylor & Francis. 5 November 2013. ISBN 9781135344542. - some fantastic detail for the story paper version there. BoomboxTestarossa (talk) 10:47, 20 September 2023 (UTC)Reply
