In Anthony F.C. Wallace's "Death and rebirth of the Seneca", he tells of "Old Smoke" being the mentor of Handsome Lake. I have heard Old Smoke was known as "Big Smoke" and that it became "Old Smoke" later, as indian names change over time to reflect the later stages of an individual.I am not so sure i buy that he gave in to booze. It seems more likely smallpox which ravaged the Iroquois.

Sayenqueraghta was the son of Cayenquaraghta. Those names are very similar, so I wonder about the meaning of the latter. Since my knowledge of their language and culture is non-existent, this may just be idle curiosity. But if it is known, the translation might enhance the article for speakers of English, and possibly clarify the multiple spellings of the name.
