I will be reviewing the article. Z. Patterson (talk) 02:46, 27 October 2025 (UTC)Reply

Copyright violations appear to be unlikely, but a source for Polygon has highly similar wording to these sentences. The following sentences should be paraphrased or directly quoted. The contents of the chapter surprised fans so much that they took to social media to react to the new development. At time of publication, the "#GojoSatoru" hashtag was trending on X with more than 11,400 posts. See here. Z. Patterson (talk) 02:51, 27 October 2025 (UTC)Reply
I have some points to address.
  • The phrase who suffers a curse of Rika teaches him in the lead looks awkward. Is there a better way to reword or correct the punctuation in the following sentence?
    • He was first introduced in Akutami's short series Tokyo Metropolitan Curse Technical School as the mentor of the cursed teenager Yuta Okkotsu, who suffers a curse of Rika teaches him at Tokyo Prefectural Jujutsu High School.
  • Information in the infobox should align with information in the article and its lead. The appearances of the weapons in the infobox without describing them in the article's prose appears to be WP:FANCRUFT.
  • I would be careful with using sources such as Collider, Comic Book Resources, and Game Rant, as Valnet has a reputation of "content farming" with this sites. Please see WP:VALNET. According to that guide, any Comic Book Resources source after 2016 is not reliable, but there are users on this site who say that anything after mid-2023 on Comic Book Resources is not reliable. If you choose to keep Game Rant, Game Rant needs to have a space in the citations.
  • "While" is a word to be cautious about. I would change instances of "while". See MOS:WTW.
  • I do not believe the website name in this citation is correct. "Yuichi Nakamura Struggles with Portraying Satoru Gojo in "Jujutsu Kaisen": Calms Voice Tone from "Hidden Inventory / Premature Death" to "Shibuya Incident"". Mensnonno. September 20, 2023. Archived from the original on February 6, 2025. Retrieved May 21, 2024. It should be "Yuichi Nakamura Struggles with Portraying Satoru Gojo in "Jujutsu Kaisen": Calms Voice Tone from "Hidden Inventory / Premature Death" to "Shibuya Incident"". Japan Anime News. September 20, 2023. Archived from the original on February 6, 2025. Retrieved May 21, 2024.
  • The following sentence looks awkward and needs to be fixed. For the anime's second season Nakamura claims he suffered struggles in properly portraying Gojo due to the two story arcs depicting the same character with different quirks and personality as a result of his age; While people do not change their voices too much over a decade, Nakamura aimed to make Gojo different in the two story arcs from season 2.
  • Was Memes Random a reliable source? I understand that the page is an interview, but when I go to the archived page, it looks like a blog created with a WordPress theme, GeneratePress.
  • Remove the full stop from the image caption Cosplayers of Satoru Gojo as depicted in Hidden Inventory arc. It is a sentence fragment.
  • This is a sentence fragment: A sorcerer working as a teacher at Tokyo Prefectural Jujutsu High School. Expand the sentence, or change the full stop into a comma.
  • Do you have sources for the first and last paragraphs in the Jujutsu Kaisen subsection? I see sources in the second paragraph, but not the first or third.
  • Is Study Break a reliable source? The author of the Study Break article appears to be either a student of Yale University or someone who works there, but the website does not specify the author's title other than "Author at Study Breaks". I would think things written by students would be given similar treatment to WP:SCHOLARSHIP.
  • Remove the full stop from the image caption Tribute to Satoru Gojo in Universidad de Chile station of Santiago Metro. It is a sentence fragment.
  • Titles of publications, including periodicals and news websites, should be italicized.
  • I do not see see "meme came to life" as an exact quote in the Hindustan Times article cited. The quote should be "meme [came] to life".
Otherwise, the article looks like it meets the WP:GACR. If you make the changes or otherwise address them, I plan to pass the article. Z. Patterson (talk) 03:55, 27 October 2025 (UTC)Reply

I will be reviwing the article. Z. Patterson (talk) 23:42, 24 June 2026 (UTC)Reply

Nominator is among the top five contributors of the article. Subject appears notable, based on what I find in Google, Google News, Google Scholar, EBSCO, and ProQuest. Copyright violations are unlikely, but I see a sentence with remarkable similarity to a sentence in a source on Polygon. Reword or remove these sentences: Contents of the chapter surprised fans to the point they took to social media to react to the new development. At time of publication, the "#GojoSatoru" hashtag was trending on X with more than 11,400 posts. Otherwise, so far, the article meets the following criteria.
A more detailed review regarding the Verifiability criterion will be forthcoming. Z. Patterson (talk) 00:12, 25 June 2026 (UTC)Reply
Thank you Veyhola (talk) 02:13, 25 June 2026 (UTC)Reply
@Veyhola: I have some points to address.
  • Do you have a source for Satoru Gojo's name as "The Honored One"? I see it in the infobox and lead, but not in the body.
  • This sentence in the lead needs commas for better flow. In the main series of Jujutsu Kaisen, Gojo takes the same role but instead mentors student Yuji Itadori who suffers a curse of Sukuna, helping him become stronger while protecting other characters in the series.
  • Not every citation to Anime News Network listed in the article has an author. If an author is listed, provide the author's name.
  • For Cristina Vee listed in the infobox, can you find a better source than an X post?
  • I see "Six Eyes", "Limitless", and "Hollow Purple" listed in both the infobox and prose, but the rest of the weapons listed in the infobox do not appear in the prose. MOS:INFOBOXPURPOSE says that the infobox is intended to "summarize, but not supplant, the key facts that appear in an article". Either find sources for the remaining five weapons listed in the infobox or remove them.
  • As I said in Talk:Satoru Gojo/GA1, I would be careful with using sources by Valnet. Per WP:VALNET, Collider, Comic Book Resources, and Game Rant are situationally reliable. I strongly suggest finding better sources if you can.
  • Memes Random looks like a blog to me. Generally, we do not cite blogs unless they are by experts and the article is not about a real living person. See WP:BLOG and Wikipedia:Blogs as sources.
  • Make sure citations do not use all capitals unless they are acronyms. (For example, "MAPPA" is fine as is.) One example I see is Coats, Cayla (January 15, 2021). "INTERVIEW: JUJUTSU KAISEN Director Sunghoo Park". Crunchyroll. Archived from the original on January 12, 2022. Retrieved December 26, 2021.
  • If the citation for the sentence, "Seko was requested by the director to feature a new fight scene between Gojo and Miguel in the climax" is indeed a book, can you provide additional details in that citation?
  • I would place a citation at the end of each sentence that has a quote.
  • I am inclined to believe AniTroves is not a reliable source. It advertises itself as an artificial intelligence assistant, and per WP:LLMS, large language models are not reliable.
  • The first paragraph in the Jujutsu Kaisen subsection cites no sources. Can you provide sources for that paragraph? Sources need to be cited no later than the end of a paragraph.
  • This citation is incorrect: "Live-Action Jujutsu Kaisen Ad Turns SoftBank Mascot Dog Into Gojō-sensei". Anime News Network. December 7, 2021. Archived from the original on December 26, 2021. Retrieved December 25, 2021.
  • Is Manga News a reliable source? There appears to be no author listed, and I am not sure how strong its editorial and fact-checking policies are.
  • I do not see a mention of death threats in the source the following sentence cites: "The Biggest Death in Jujutsu Kaisen Has Taken Place". IGN. September 20, 2023. Archived from the original on July 12, 2024. Retrieved July 11, 2024.
  • In the Awards and nominations table, can you provide additional sources that explicitly say the actors who portray as Satoru Gojo? When I check the Japanese Anime Grand Prix sources that are provided in the table, I do not see a connection between the actor and the character. The bottom of each Japanese page about the Anime Grand Prix just lists the actors.
I am going to give you seven days to address these. Z. Patterson (talk) 03:16, 25 June 2026 (UTC)Reply
Manga News is a reliable source. It does have a dedicated editorial team. Veyhola (talk) 02:44, 29 June 2026 (UTC)Reply
Is the table of awards necessary for the article? I believe most of the information in the table is summarized in the popularity section. I was scrutinized for doing something similar when I did another article for a GAN at Talk:Ochaco Uraraka/GA1 last year. I suggest removing the table. If you do this, I will pass the article. Z. Patterson (talk) 03:15, 30 June 2026 (UTC)Reply
Ok I removed the table Veyhola (talk) 18:59, 30 June 2026 (UTC)Reply
@Veyhola: Thank you. I am passing this as a good article. If you would like to continue working on the article to reach it to featured article status, it may need some more formatting, but I commend your work. Z. Patterson (talk) 23:28, 30 June 2026 (UTC)Reply
