It's Erode that's called Turmeric city. Some external references to confirm the fact:

City or District?

This article is supposed to be about the city. So I am trying to remove items that are related to the district, which has its own separate article. AtHomeIn神戸 (talk) 00:53, 26 May 2015 (UTC)

Ganapati Mandir and Sambhare Ganesh: Request to make a new wikipedia page

A lot of information related to Sangli District is there on city page, thus it needs to be shifted to Sangli District page

Plus, based on the content, I think it would be appropriate to make separate wikipedia pages for Ganapati Mandir and Sambhare Ganesh Temple. The content focusses only on these 2 temples, not others. So, it is making the information Biased to some few religious place of a particular religion only.No information about churches, mosques etc is given

Also, no info about Talims, Krishnamai Jaltaran Sanstha etc. things related to sports, recreation etc.

It is very important to give accurate references for the statements made, which is SERIOUS issue about this page, particularly in History section. See Pune city page for comparison... prasad dandekar

I have removed that person and all of the other people who do not have articles, and changed the format from a table to a list. Each entry should have a brief description about why the person is notable, e.g. politician, sportsperson, etc. AtHomeIn神戸 (talk) 01:56, 14 September 2015 (UTC)
