There are lengthy articles on this Icelandic/Danish footballer on the Icelandic and Danish Wikipedia, both mentioning Bíldudalur in Iceland as place of birth and his connection to artist Muggur. The Danish one sites a danish obituary that states both of those things clearly. Why on earth does that not qualify as source, but an un-resourced edit in Olympedia does?

The Danish WP article has this link, https://gravsted.dk/person.php?navn=samuelthorsteinsson - which includes all the information in question (the birthplace and Muggur being his brother). This is the official web of Danish cemeteries with biographical information on famous people in the graveyards of Denmark (albeit in Danish). Surely that is a stronger source than Olympedia with no references?
