The dictionary of New Zealand biography suggests that Brees is a Dutch name. but some of my ancestors who emigrated from Wales had the surname Brees although later generations used Breeze. Could Samuel Brees have Welsh origins? Olwenwilliams (talk) 22:30, 20 May 2026 (UTC)Reply
