About the tag

[edit]

The page seems biased, the reference 1, is not about the biographed individuals and is used a large number of times.PB666 yap 01:48, 9 July 2008 (UTC)Reply

well actually the first reference "The Conscience of Lebanon: A Political Biography of Etienne Sakr (Abu-Arz) By Mordechai Nisan" is about Etienne Sakr whom Said Akl was his spiritual leader and main influence. So, thats why I chose to cite this book that is available on books.google.com since citing the numerous Arabic books about Said Akl would make checking them, an impossible task for many users.
I see, I am not an expert in this area of wiki, but I would think that parts of the article could be balanced by critical views of his writing, or at least fair-use 'translations' would be appropriate here and there.PB666 yap 02:31, 11 July 2008 (UTC)Reply
I actually created this page because it was requested on the "Wikiproject Lebanon" page anyway if you see POV edits its not a big deal if you remove them. Hiram111 (talk) 01:59, 9 July 2008 (UTC)Reply
Typically I think these types of pages are to include information from other points of view, such as critiques of the person.PB666 yap 02:31, 11 July 2008 (UTC)Reply
Ill try to find some other references since yes it does sound as lacking a NPOV and I hope other users will add their input. « Hiram111ΔTalK Δ 13:36, 12 July 2008 (UTC)Reply

I've deleted this, the claim is that "This image is in the public domain because its copyright has expired in the United States and those countries with a copyright term of no more than the life of the author plus 100 years." and I don't see how that is possible. Image is qualified as fair use now.--Propaganda328 (talk) 20:45, 31 December 2010 (UTC)Reply

Images required for letter glyphs

[edit]

The descriptions in the "Akl glyph" column of the included table cannot satisfactorily communicate a basic enough understanding of the letters and should be replaced with images (unless there is a serious copyright issue, of course). Hftf (talk) 04:05, 11 January 2024 (UTC)Reply
