Merge from Food Safety Promotion Board

[edit]

Hello. I just merged content from the Food Safety Promotion Board page onto this page (in accordance with a recommendation made in 2012). This was my first time merging, so please let me know if you have any comments, concerns, or feedback. Food Safety Promotion Board now redirects here, and it's history and talk pages are intact. Disclosure and proposed updates

[edit]

Hello. I am an employee and authorised representative of Safefood, the operating name of the Food Safety Promotion Board.

I will be working on proposed updates to this article. The main purpose of the work is to:

  • correct factual inaccuracies;
  • explain Safefood's legal status and role more clearly;
  • update information about its campaigns and programmes;
  • add relevant recent research and reports; and
  • improve the article's sources and use simpler, neutral language.

I will provide reliable sources for the proposed changes. I will submit substantial changes on this talk page for review by independent editors rather than making major changes to the article without discussion.

I welcome comments, questions and suggestions from other editors.

Thank you, and welcome! All the items you mention would be very welcome, and yes, best to bring them here and experienced neutral editors can assist with adding appropriate points. We would be especially concerned with any issue of inaccuracies or bias, and keen to fix those. To be crystal clear, we do tend to be very sensitive to attempts to "PR manage" content - that is not most visitors' intention, as I am sure it is not yours - but it has happened, including with Irish agencies. Looking forward to the inputs. SeoR (talk) 13:57, 23 July 2026 (UTC)Reply
