Overall: In my opinion, ALT0 is not interesting enough because Wikipedia is used quite a bit in universities. The other hooks seem fine. Also citing four references in this part seems excessive "She had started a column on messy (later wezzy) since October 2015, (four references)...", redundant references should be removed to improve the layout, thanks. @Sahaib: Thanks for reviewing, I am currently improving citation layout. The original Japanese Wikipedia article that had been translated from had, originally, issues with excessive citations, so it is not an easy job. I will still do it because I am upset by the excessive citations as well.

Anyway, the person's Wikipedian role is why I translate the article, so I am a bit surprised that Wikipedia is used in universities. Maybe it wasn't a thing in the 2010s? --Saimmx (talk) 04:57, 4 June 2025 (UTC)

Failing - the article's prose has too many issues (ex. She studied Antony and Cleopatra and befriend with Noritaka Moriyama during the time.). Sae Kitamura

I've listed this article for peer review because I want a review of copyediting or grammar issues, which was the main reason for the first GAN's quick fail. Previously, I have requested a copyedit, and it was partially done. But, since English is not my native language, I would like to submit a peer review before submitting another GAN.

  I am trying to familiarise myself with the notability of an independence list, which looks more lenient than the Chinese one, so it takes time to split her work.

  And, I would like to ask why podcasts done by TBS Radio in the article are still unreliable? I know the WP:SPS guide said podcasts are unreliable because it is close to self-publish, but the podcast in the article is done by TBS Radio, a mass media group in Japan. Do they still unreliable?   Update: I have done most of them, but still some tricky tasks:

  • Japanese translation: I tried my best to do it, but most of works were only published in Japan.
  • Too many references: Its original entry has, actually, over a hundred of citations. Even though I have kill one in third, looks like it is still not enough.

• All Japanese text should use a template.
• All Japanese text should have a translation in said template.
• There are many harv warnings and errors that need to be fixed, I would suggest installing User talk:Trappist the monk's tool to find these.
• There are far too many references for the text.
• Most of the page should be split of into a different called, List of works by Sae Kitamura or something similar.
• Podcasts are not reliable sources and should be removed.

Personal life section

This section isn't really about her personal life from the sentence beginning She emphasises (see MOS:SAID). The block quote is about her work on Shakespeare, not her personal life. (I also don't think that quote adds anything to the article; it's a circular observation that classics have stood the test of time.) The original section in the Japanese entry is called "人物", which means "person", "character". I think I will try either rename the section, or put it into the biography section. Saimmx (talk) 05:36, 25 June 2025 (UTC)

The result of the move request was: Procedural close as moved. The article was moved without a discussion from its long-term title of Kitamura Sae to Sae Kitamura, three days ago. As such, the RM here should not have been started, the move should just be reverted per the WP:RMUM guidance. Sae Kitamura → Kitamura Sae – @改めてその瞬間です, Ortizesp, and さえぼー:
改めてその瞬間です has moved the name from "Kitamura Sae" to "Sae Kitamura" because of conventions of the English Wikipedia ("In the English Wikipedia, even for Japanese people, the order is given name + surname, not surname + given name."). However, Dr Kitamura, also known as さえぼー here, suggested otherwise - that her order is surname + given name ("I use my name in a Japanese order, Kitamura Sae (surname first), not Sae Kitamura..."). Furthermore, significant sources can support Dr Kitamura's claim. I therefore request a discussion here, that ensuring Dr Kitamura's name order here. Saimmx (talk) 17:36, 9 May 2026 (UTC)

If necessary, we can put a redirect from one order to the other, especially since in the end it's referring to the same person anyway. I support the move, but only if reliable sources use the surname-given name format (which most appear to do). I would also be okay with making a modification to WP:JTITLE addressing situations similar to this where an article subject requests to use a specific name order, but that's a discussion for another time I think. Dr. Kitamura submits with a surname-given name format in most of her English works, including: doctoral thesis, Nature paper, NII plan, Shakespeare Quarterly. Forename-given name format like Wikipedia articles on women scientists or Shukan Gendai remains rare. More of her English works can be seen in researchmap. Saimmx (talk) 22:36, 9 May 2026 (UTC)

• Support – The editor who made the move was incorrect. Wikipedia specifically allows for the use of Japanese name order in its guidance on the subject, WP:JTITLE. Hi! I noticed a few prose issues, but I believe I can still help out, if possible.

• The "personal life" section comes off as trivia that adds little to no value to the article itself.
• She befriended Noritaka Moriyama during this time. Who is Moriyama? They're not mentioned anywhere else in the article.
  • In the previous sentence, ending with under the guidance of Shōichirō Kawai and Yasunari Takada, we're introduced to these two people without any explanation on who they are. (I know they're in the infobox but it would still be nice to add some clarification...)
• Finally, I noticed that the Published works section is an excerpt from Kitamura Sae bibliography. It would help to differentiate the section from the bibliography page - OpalYosutebito 『talk』 『articles I want to eat』 00:23, 1 June 2026 (UTC)

1. I am not ready for answer the "personal life" section. For now, I can tell that it is from the character or personage section of Japanese Wikipedia.
2. I may need to understand your meaning of "explanation" - I can add some text like "She befriended Noritaka Moriyama, a sociologist, during this time" or "under the guidance of Shōichirō Kawai, Japanese scholar on English literature, but I am not sure if this is want you want/mean.
3. Finally, let me think about how to arrange the layout of the bibliography page. Maybe we just need to excerpt the leading section.

I changed my mind about something. The sources section has way too many subsections. Usually, there are primary and secondary sources sections, so the sources should be split up accordingly.  Done for the sources section - I decreased the subsections into four (Published journal or books, News coverage, Other independent sources, and Sources by Kitamura Sae) after reading Capri-Sun#References - I think it's okay to have four. While the Capri-Sun has many subsections, you have a point on Kitamura Sae, that there are too many subsections in it. Saimmx (talk) 14:05, 2 June 2026 (UTC)
