Unsourced memory

My memory says: Sadeem was virtually sterile and was sent back into trainig as a hurdler. He may have even been gelded. He was shaping up quite well when he sustained a fatal injury in training. Any corroboration would be greatly appreciated.
BTW "workmanlike" is equispeak for "ugly": Sadeem was one of those horses who seemed to have been assembled from disparate parts by a mad veterinary scientist (see also The Bug (horse) and Sleepytime) Tigerboy1966 22:57, 24 August 2013 (UTC)
