I have tweaked the lede of this article, but have not added the unsourced list of alternative spellings (perhaps an etymology section could be added to the article verifying and noting these), and have declined to characterize this place as "one of the largest cities in Liberia", given that the nation's capital, Monrovia, has a population over 1.7 million, and there are at least several easily discoverable cities with populations in the 30,000+ range.
