BLP, personal-life and infobox corrections (COI edit request)

[edit]

I am a disclosed paid/connected contributor because I work professionally with Sabina Hidalgo. I am requesting review by an uninvolved editor rather than editing the article directly. I request the following corrections: Remove the entire unsupported spouse entry, currently “Tepa González (2024–2025) Leon Leiden (2026–present)”. The article provides no reliable citation confirming the marriage and divorce dates or any marriage to León Leiden. Because this is a biography of a living person, I believe the field should be omitted until reliable third-party sourcing is available. If a reliable independent source confirming that Hidalgo and González divorced in 2025 becomes available, I would support adding the marriage and divorce dates at that time. Change the infobox from “Member of: Now United” to “Past member of: Now United”. R7 reports that Hidalgo confirmed her departure from the group.[1] Remove the present “Agent” and “Label” entries for XIX Entertainment unless current reliable sources can be supplied. They are presently uncited and appear outdated. Replace the current personal-life paragraph with the following more limited, reliably sourced text: February 2022, Hidalgo announced that she and Mexican footballer Tepa González were expecting their first child.[2] Their son was born in August 2022.[3] González proposed to Hidalgo in June 2023 after Tapatío won the Campeón de Campeones.[4] Remove the sentence claiming that Hidalgo was “the first Mexican in history” nominated for a VMA. The cited POPline article states that Now United was nominated for Best Group; it does not support the “first Mexican” claim: https://portalpopline.com.br/now-united-sabina-hidalgo-vma-cnco/ Remove the “Niña” entry from the “Music videos” section. The entry is uncited and concerns an appearance in a Carlos Unger music video rather than a music video released by Hidalgo as a recording artist. If guest music-video appearances are considered appropriate for the article, they should be presented in a clearly labeled and reliably sourced subsection. Regarding the divorce, I understand that personal or professional knowledge cannot be used as a Wikipedia source. If an editor is aware of a reliable independent publication confirming the 2025 divorce, I would appreciate its consideration. Otherwise, omission is preferable to retaining an unsourced claim in a biography of a living person. Thank you for reviewing these proposed corrections. Solo career, professional name and discography (COI edit request)

[edit]

I am a disclosed paid/connected contributor because I work professionally with Sabina Hidalgo. I am requesting review by an uninvolved editor rather than editing the article directly.

I request the following career and discography updates:

  1. Rename the present “Early life” section to “Early life and career”.
  1. After the existing paragraph about the formation of Now United, add the following:
In 2025, she began releasing solo music under the mononym Sabina, beginning with the singles “Tu Final”, “SO HOT” and “GATINHA”.[5][6][7] In 2026, she confirmed her departure from Now United and performed her solo material as an opening act on the Brazilian dates of Christian Chávez’s Para Siempre Tour.[8] Her debut EP, MEDIANOCHE, was released in August 2026 and was preceded by the single “Vicio”. The project incorporates pop and reggaeton influences and was described by the singer as representing a new beginning in her career.[9]
  1. Add the following discography section before “Filmography”:
Discography
Extended plays
Year Title
2026 MEDIANOCHE[8][9]
Singles
Year Title
2025 “Tu Final”[5]
“SO HOT”[6]
“GATINHA”[7]
2026 “Vicio”[9]
  1. Remove the second malformed table currently located under “Filmography” → “Music videos”, containing “Tu final”, “So hot”, “Gatinha” and “Vicio”. These are musical releases and should be presented in the discography rather than as an uncited second filmography table. This also corrects the year of “GATINHA” from 2026 to 2025.
  1. Replace the current outdated YouTube external link with Sabina’s official channel:

Regarding the professional name, music services credit her solo catalog under the mononym “Sabina”, while identifying María Sabina Hidalgo Pano in the performance and songwriting credits. I am not requesting that the article be moved from “Sabina Hidalgo” to “Sabina” at this time, because current independent coverage continues to identify her as Sabina Hidalgo. I am requesting only that the solo-career section acknowledge the name used for her solo releases. A page move can be considered later if independent reliable sources consistently establish “Sabina” as her common professional name.

Infobox image and signature update (COI edit request)

[edit]

I am a disclosed paid/connected contributor because I work professionally with Sabina Hidalgo. I am requesting review by an uninvolved editor rather than editing the article directly.

I request the following infobox media updates:

  1. Replace the current 2018 infobox photograph with the following more recent 2026 image from Wikimedia Commons:
File: Sabina for "Vicio" Music Video.jpg
Suggested infobox parameters:
  1. Replace the present signature file with Sabina’s updated signature:
File: Sabina Signature.svg
Suggested infobox parameters:

Both proposed files are available on Wikimedia Commons. I ask that an uninvolved editor verify their licensing and suitability before making the changes.

No change to the article title is being requested in this section; the use of “Sabina” for her solo releases is addressed separately in the career and professional-name request.

Thank you for reviewing these proposed updates. JoaoRenatoBernardes (talk) 01:25, 2 September 2026 (UTC)Reply
