The information under the subheading "early life" states that Sumar's mother "wore the veil in Bombay but not in Karachi" seems somewhat unnecessary in that section of the article, it is not described what relevance this has on Sumar's personal or working life. In the first paragraph under career's there seems to be a lack of citations to defend the points made. However, the sources that are used are very reliable and all recent information (from the 2000s). The career's section of this article is very strong and discusses a lot about Sumar's history with independent films as well as demonstrates the social and political influence that she had throughout her career.
