The HELO greeting in standard SMTP.
[edit]The standard SMTP has been updated and EHLO is now the recommended greeting, in all cases. Here is an extract from https://tools.ietf.org/html/rfc5321 :
Contemporary SMTP implementations MUST support the basic extension mechanisms. For instance, servers MUST support the EHLO command even if they do not implement any specific extensions and clients SHOULD preferentially utilize EHLO rather than HELO. Other
[edit]The only link in the "Other" section returns a "404 Not found" HTTP header. I believe it should be removed (the whole section, in this case) Ywarnier (talk) 02:35, 12 April 2017 (UTC)
