The first game

[edit]

So there's been a disagreement here, so let me lay down the opinions I've gathered from me, other people, and popular opinion

  • Arguments for acknowledging the Rebels/Bulldogs game
    • It was the first live sporting event televised by SEC Network
  • Arguments against acknowledging the Rebels/Bulldogs game
    • Not important enough because a TV network of this caliber is expected to broadcast live sports
    • Not important enough because it's not Division I college football
    • It was not technically the first sporting event broadcast by SEC Network (the soccer shown on SEC Now/WatchESPN on launch day was)

So, let's discuss this. I'm somewhat neutral, but the arguments against seem to outweigh arguments for. ViperSnake151  Talk  02:18, 24 August 2014 (UTC)Reply
