The article refers to their most famous book once as The Economies of Queer Inclusion: Transnational LGBTI Organizing in Uganda and once as The Economies of Queer Inclusion: Transnational Organizing for LGBTI Rights in Uganda. But...so do the sources! I'd use the publisher's website as the tiebreak and stick to their version.
In US academia it's probably incorrect to report the source's "Bachelor of Arts, Sociology, Minors: Spanish, Women's Studies" as in Sociology, Spanish, and Women's Studies. Minors are considerably less intensive than full degrees.
This is not an LLM issue, but I'd like to know what country the activities in "Alongside their academic career" were carried out in. I presume the US but it wasn't clear on a first reading. It would also be useful in this case to know where the author is from (the book review has a little bit on this).
I think this article is a success despite the small issues above. It's engaging to read, feels human, the sourcing seems to check out, and makes a good case for notability--the only thing that is missing there is a second review. Worth a look for one.
