Rockhounding at Ruggles Mine

[edit]

Since the mine was purchased by Prospector Joe in 2024 no hammers, chisels, picks or pry bars are allowed. Digging, with digging tools only, is allowed and encouraged. There is a lot more area open to the public now than ever before. Children 10 and under are free with adult admission being 30.00 which is good for the day. Camping is available for 20.00 per night. People are welcome to bring their own buckets and digging tools or can purchase buckets and rent digging tools on sight. UV lights are also useful as there are luminescent minerals to be found. ~2026-43811-38 (talk) 15:55, 9 August 2026 (UTC)Reply
