Twin Bridges Airport (Montana) → Ruby Valley Field – A number of details on this page are out of date. The FAA has changed the name of this airport to Ruby Valley Field, the indicator is now KRVF, and the runway lengths have changed. Many of the other details remain the same but effectively, the airport, as it is described in the current article, no longer exists. The FAA Great Falls sectional has bene updated for some time and these changes can be verified there or in the FAA chart supplement. Do we have reliable independent sources that show that the proposed new name has become the WP:COMMONNAME? As of now there are no sources given at all Danners430 _{tweaks made} 13:53, 29 August 2026 (UTC)

There are a few mentions of this airport in reliable secondary sources that I found, but these date back to 2019 (the name changed in 2020 according to Madison County records), so arent helpful with regard to WP:COMMONNAME. There are some more recent articles from a local NBC affiliate but I can't access them to verify which name they use! However official sources like the Montana DOT and FAA use the new name, as do some well-known (SPS) blogs like Kathryn's report and aggregators like AirNav.com . I'm leaning towards Move based on these. it would be good if some US based editors with better access to local media sources could provide some examples of secondary sources using the new name and add them to the article. I live near the field and fly into it often. It’s a small field and does not get much press. IDE tidying local sources is challenging.

Ruby Valley Field is the official name of the field as published by the FAA. ~2026-47194-49 (talk) 03:14, 30 August 2026 (UTC)

Official names isn't the only thing that Wikipedia takes into account when naming articles… see WP:COMMONNAME Danners430 _{tweaks made} 06:10, 30 August 2026 (UTC)

Comment: the majority of hits for both of these names are database mentions; I question whether it is even truly notable, and wonder if an AfD wouldn't be more appropriate than an RM! That said, the two names seem to coexist and it's hard to tell which might be the commonname. I note that even the Madison County website refers to it as "Twin Bridges Airport" .
