Journal

[edit]

I believe the club journal is "Flight" - is this still produced? Drutt (talk) 16:46, 25 May 2008 (UTC)Reply

Yes - see Flight International. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.112.77.82 (talk) 11:35, 24 February 2010 (UTC)Reply

Clubhouse

[edit]

Why did it "lose" its Picadilly premises? Drutt (talk) 07:08, 17 April 2009 (UTC)Reply

I think about 1976 when the lease expired. MilborneOne (talk) 17:54, 1 November 2014 (UTC)Reply

MOS cleanup applied

[edit]

I have applied a WP:MOS formatting cleanup to the article. No content was changed. Summary of fixes:

  • MOS:HONORIFIC: Removed "the Hon" / "Hon." per MOS convention; added "Sir" to Sir Alfred Rawlinson per MOS:SIR
  • MOS:CAP: Fixed missing apostrophes — "Aviators Certificates" → "Aviator's Certificates", "Kings Cup" → "King's Cup"; fixed "Norton-Griffths" typo → "Norton-Griffiths"
  • MOS:ENGVAR: Normalised "coordinating" → "co-ordinating" to match lead usage
  • MOS:IMAGE: Added alt text to both images; removed redundant |right|; fixed "Mussell Manor" → "Muswell Manor" in caption
  • MOS:CITE: Fixed spacing in bare Flight citations
  • MOS:WHITESPACE: Removed double spaces after periods
  • MOS:LINK: Delinked "France" (overlinking); removed "the" from "(the FAI)" → "(FAI)"
  • WP:SEEALSO: Removed Flight International (already linked in body)
  • MOS:DASH: Fixed hyphen → en-dash in "1910–1914" display text
  • MOS:NBSP: Added non-breaking space in "500 yards"

Additional suggestions for editors:

  • Citations use a mix of {{cite web}} templates and bare URLs — consider normalising to templates throughout
  • The "Britannia Trophy" subsection is a single sentence; consider merging into the parent section or expanding
  • The "Air races" list has inconsistent linking — some races are linked, others are not
