Following passage edited to remove emoldened text: "In the 1940's, Roy appeared on a number of radio programs, including McCackie Mansion, which aired for three years from 1947. He played the character of Mo McCackie in the program, which was produced in front of a live studio audience. Also he rather enjoyed dogs he had one named luckywho died at the age of 20 roy attemped suicide after this incident but his former wife liminey snicket loled at him then they had butt secks. The memory of Rene lives on in the Mo Awards, presented annually for excellence in live performance. Birth name

Problem: this article currently has different spellings for Roy Rene's birth name. --Design 05:08, 3 October 2007 (UTC)

Theme tune

"Khosn kale mazel tov" was the theme tune for Roy Rene as "Mo" in the radio segment McCackie Mansion (1947 - 1953). So far I have been unable to find a citable source for this fact, so as to include it in this article.Design (talk) 12:40, 10 July 2026 (UTC)

Have you read this article? The 1995 TV doco Strike Me Lucky (not the Ken Hall 1934 feature) mentioned is also on YouTube. The mug who wrote the subtitles never understood the words, so listen and get the jokes or read and get confused. At -27:18/57:11 Rabbi John Levi states his theme tune was "Bride and Groom Mazel Tov", which may be the answer you seek. Immediately after this reference, Don Lane hums the tune (and coined the name Mo Award). Mo was a proud Jew, but worlds away from the stream that compiled the Australian Jewish News, which never mentioned his name. Doug butler (talk) 14:01, 10 July 2026 (UTC)
