– I'm somewhat baffled that this title does not belong to Rostrum (anatomy). The anatomy article is the only non-redirect page actually titled "rostrum", and it gets far more views than this DAB page itself. — An anonymous username, not my real name 21:25, 13 May 2026 (UTC)  Relisting. Jeffrey34555 (talk) 21:14, 20 May 2026 (UTC)Reply

  • Oppose Per WP:DABMENTION. Rostrum is equally primary to describe a dais/pulpit/podium, which have longterm significance. Simply not having a page on something is not reason enough for it to be inadmissible as a primary topic. ᴢxᴄᴠʙɴᴍ () 21:44, 17 May 2026 (UTC)Reply
@Zxcvbnm, I don't see how the linked guideline supports your argument. Rostrum is a synonym for those other terms, and in that sense, we do indeed have a page on it (under the title Dais). Rostrum (anatomy) gets slightly more views than Dais, but that's without filtering to only those readers who actually used the word "rostrum" to find the article. This tool shows that ~29% to 38% of viewers (varying monthly) who visited this DAB page clicked to go to the anatomy one, which is about twice as many as those who clicked to go to the next-most selected link, Bow (watercraft) (which is also slightly beaten by Rostrum (anatomy) in absolute page views). This is a significant margin. And, for what it's worth, Dais is only number three. — An anonymous username, not my real name 23:56, 17 May 2026 (UTC)Reply
  • Oppose. WP:NOPRIMARY. Other topics for the word "rostrum" don't need to use the word in a title. And WikiNav does not support the idea that the WP:PRIMARYTOPIC factors are satisfied (in particular that the topic be highly likely—much more likely than any other single topic, and more likely than all the other topics combined—to be the topic sought). ~ Jenson (SilverLocust 💬) 20:27, 20 May 2026 (UTC)Reply
