Tone, References, etc

[edit]

I've rewritten the entire article as it wasn't in an encyclopedic tone, I've also added references. If I've been too liberal with getting rid of the old article or if there's information which should have been kept feel free to raise objections. International caps

[edit]

The stats for her international matches must be wrong. For Scotland, Rose Reilly played in their first five international matches: twice v England (18.11.1972 and 23.6.1973), twice v Italy (21.9.1974 and 24.9.1874) and v Northern Ireland (23.11.1974). These are the only internationals played by Scotland before she was banned by the Scottish Women's FA in January 1975, so her caps total can only be five. She scored in the first and last of these, with a total of 2 goals.

Her caps total for Italy is also exaggerated. Her first match was on 21 August 1984 v Belgium, her last match was on 25 August 1985 v England and within that time she played 14 internationals for Italy, scoring 6 goals. There were also two unofficial internationals in the China Tournament of October 1984, v Lianing and v Guangxi. Kvaratschelia (talk) 14:57, 21 January 2023 (UTC)Reply
