I see two mistakes with the article

[edit]

First, the "Kids vs. Stars" match did not happen in February 2025. The match happened in May 2024. The source article https://www.chess.com/news/view/2024-kids-vs-stars-atwell-paragua was last updated in February 2025. It says that at the top of the article. However, if you read further down, it is clear the match was played in May 2024.

Second, in the 2025 U.S. Girls National Championship, her page reads that she finished with 3.5/10. However, she actually finished with 3.5/9. The source article makes clear that this is the case. There were 10 girls in the field. And she played each of them. But she didn't play herself, so she played 9 games that tournament. ~2025-35483-18 (talk) 01:14, 22 November 2025 (UTC)Reply

Also, her performance in the 2024 U.S. Girls National Championship was actually more impressive than in 2025. In 2024, she finished in clear 2nd place with 6.5/9, just a half point behind the winner Alice Lee. https://new.uschess.org/news/lee-and-yoo-win-junior-championships-kraai-clear-second-senior  Preceding unsigned comment added by ~2025-35483-18 (talk) 18:47, 22 November 2025 (UTC)Reply

In November 2025, she beat GM Luka Budisavljevic at a norm tournament with an attack on his king (https://lichess.org/broadcast/2025-charlotte-fall-norm-invitational-gm-a/round-9/r9SiaWth/SmIhK4EL) and Agadmator (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Agadmator) made a YouTube video about it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m1oiP9GeWWE&list=LL  Preceding unsigned comment added by ~2025-35483-18 (talk) 18:33, 28 November 2025 (UTC)Reply

March 2026 - she recently met the requirements for the IM title, pending approval by FIDE (https://x.com/CLTchesscenter/status/2034792423621091436). ~2026-18282-83 (talk) 11:17, 24 March 2026 (UTC)Reply
Also in March 2026 - she was National High School co-Champion along with IM Eric Liu. Both finished with 6.5 / 7 (it says she finished first on tiebreaks). https://new.uschess.org/news/flash-report-atwell-liu-win-2026-national-high-school-k-12-championship ~2026-18282-83 (talk) 08:56, 30 March 2026 (UTC)Reply
