Career - issues with paragraph

I have raised a citation need against the final paragraph in the Career section:

Ron now often visits Doncaster Rovers with his grandson, Harry who are extremely good friends with shareholder and Director Dick Watson. On 6 January is was asked at a club conference if Mr Flowers was interested in buying shares they declined to comment saying, " Ron is a supporter of the club and wants them to do well". It is rumoured that Flowers (79) is close to buying shares in the Yorkshire based club where he still has family based in Edlington.

There are some suspected typos, I am confused about the "is" who was asked if Flowers was interested in buying shares, and the age is out of date. If it is from published information such as a newspaper report, it would be better to cite it with date to put into better context.Cloptonson (talk) 21:45, 28 November 2014 (UTC)

Attacking Midfielder?

I would take issue with a description of Flowers as 'attacking midfield player (in modern terminology)'. He was very much a traditional wing-half - more akin to today's 'defensive midfielder' role, and later in his career moved to more of a central defender role, in much the same way as did his Wolves and England colleague Billy Wright. His inclusion in the 1966 squad was as a central defender (covering for Brian Labone who had withdrawn from the squad for personal reasons).
