– As written, this article is not documenting a strong enough notability claim to earn WP:PRIMARYTOPIC rights for the undisambiguated name. It essentially amounts to "animator who existed", and doesn't really document any meaningful notability claims that would be strong enough to outrank the other people listed in the disambiguation page — essentially he only has the plain title because his article existed first. • Oppose. This is the only article titled "Ron Dias", so there's no title conflict. Ron Dias (director) is merely a redirect and Ron Diaz and Rony Diaz are different names. Station1 (talk) 22:41, 10 April 2025 (UTC)

  Redirects are not excluded from consideration — the film director/producer is redirecting to his studio, and will likely qualify for his own standalone biographical article as soon as somebody gets around to writing one. So the animator doesn't automatically get to keep primary topic rights just because the other Ron Dias happens to be a redirect, because the other Ron Dias could potentially become not a redirect at any time.   If anybody ever writes an article about the director, this can be reconsidered. In the meantime, the redirect Ron Dias (director) has been tagged for speedy deletion because the article it pointed to has been moved to draft space (not by me). Station1 (talk) 19:02, 13 April 2025 (UTC)

• Support: WP:PRIMARYRED says that in the case of a DAB page with one redlink and one bluelink, the bluelink is not automatically primary topic. This should probably also apply to a bluelink and a redirect. – Reidgreg (talk) 02:57, 11 April 2025 (UTC)
