Exact date of death

[edit]

Prof Crocombe's date of death is occasionally reported to be 19 June 2009, but an equally large number of sources says he died on 18 June, see, e.g., here, here, here, here and here. Anybody know something definite? Henning Blatt (talk) 12:36, 16 March 2010 (UTC)Reply

A possible explanation ? he died on 19 June in NZ time and on 18 june in Cook Islands time due to different time zone (about 20 hours gap). In the obituary of the cook islands news one can read : "Friday 19: Professor Ron Crocombe – the renowned Cook Islands scholar, Pacific expert and educationist – died suddenly in Auckland yesterday at the age of 79." here. So if it was written on 19 June in Cook Islands, it was already the 20 June in Auckland —Preceding unsigned comment added by Nevers (talkcontribs) 21:47, 17 March 2010 (UTC)Reply
