Regarding the following text: "Vatican City (the smallest country in the world) is an independent country inside the city boundaries of Rome, the only existing example of a country within a city. "
While the Sovereign Military Order of Malta is sometimes regarded as a "sovereign entity", that does not necessarily make it a "country". It certainly does not meet all of the criteria of the Montevideo Convention. Please also note that the Sovereign Military Order of Malta is already mentioned in the 'International relations' section of the article. Donald Albury23:08, 22 July 2024 (UTC)Reply

The chronological order is out, with events in the Empire era being discussed in the Middle Ages. Plus there are few too many sentences on things about Roman history that doesn't include Rome itself. I'm not an expert though, the people who wrote the other sections could do a better job of writting it than me. 94.156.31.70 (talk) 01:46, 15 March 2025 (UTC)Reply

The record high temperature for July in Rome is wrong in the table. It’s not 39.7, but 42.9, as it is written in the text just above the same table. 185.203.126.54 (talk) 07:19, 28 July 2025 (UTC)Reply
Not done: The current value of 39.7 is supported by the table's source (for the same date as the text). And the source for the text above is no longer working. meamemg (talk) 14:31, 28 July 2025 (UTC)Reply

Change the last sentence of the caption of the first map of the infobox from “The white spot in the centre is Vatican City.” to just “The spot in the centre is Vatican City.”, or edit the map image so that the spot is white instead of transparent. In dark mode, the current caption is incorrect and potentially confusing. ~2026-31900-38 (talk) 20:37, 29 May 2026 (UTC)Reply
