Wager
[edit]Under Legis Actiones, the article states that the plaintiff lays down a wager, which then links to a disambiguation page for which there is no useful choice. Perhaps a page about this kind of wager is in order? Brian Sayrs 17:01, 16 April 2006 (UTC)

According to Textbook on Roman Law by Andrew Borkowski & Paul du Plessis, the formulary system was "formally recognized by the lex Aebutia c.150 BCE ... and is generally believed that the statue confirmed what had been the practice for some time."
