Edit request (COI disclosed): citations and neutrality improvements
[edit]{{edit request}}
Hello, I have a declared conflict of interest (professional relationship), so I am requesting assistance rather than directly editing the article.
I am requesting the following citation additions and minor neutrality adjustments in accordance with Wikipedia’s neutral point of view and biography policies.
=== 1. Neutrality adjustments ===
[edit]Please consider the following wording changes:
- “one of Canada’s prominent solid-state physicists” → “a Canadian solid-state physicist”
- “recognized expert in physical acoustics” → “whose work focuses on physical acoustics”
Supporting context:

=== Request ===
[edit]If an independent editor is available, I would appreciate assistance with:
- Adding citations to support the above statements
- Applying the requested neutrality adjustments where appropriate
- Any guidance on improving sourcing or citation placement
Thank you for your time and help. ShaneTessonics (talk) 19:47, 14 April 2026 (UTC)
- If it would be helpful, I can split this into smaller, individual edit requests. I would also be happy to provide exact sentence locations for each requested citation to make review easier. ShaneTessonics (talk) 20:28, 14 April 2026 (UTC)
- == === Follow-up === ==
- I have made a small number of edits for improving verifiability and neutrality, including:
- Addition of citations to support existing statements (ie: university affiliation claims, corporation claims)
- Wording adjustment of the first sentence of the second paragraph, to align with neutral point of view guidelines, "Wikipedia:Neutral point of view"
- If any of these changes need adjusting or if there are concerns about the sources used, I would appreciate feedback.
- Thank you for your time. ShaneTessonics (talk) 14:18, 15 April 2026 (UTC)
