This appears to be a branded term, not the generic term for the equipment, which is simply 'roll trailer'. Suggest we change this as Mafi should have its own wiki page if it's notable. Motorracer (talk) 20:23, 11 July 2019 (UTC)Reply

The word MAFI is exceptionally widespread. It is used daily in every port terminal around the world handling ro-ro cargo. It appears in shipping manuals, documents, etc. Pl71 (talk) 21:19, 8 July 2026 (UTC)Reply

The name Mafi roll trailer has become widely known in the logistic industry, in the same way as the branded term hoovering is synonym of vacuum cleaning. Kindly also advise which section of the article sounds like an advertisement, in order improve it and removing the template, as here the topic is a technical equipment, so not much to advertise but just something to categorise and describe. Thanks Goodwillgames (talk) 15:11, 24 July 2019 (UTC)Reply

The hoovering article you refer to redirects to a page with the generic name of vacuum cleaner, which is what Wikipedians would expect. If a product has a proper name, that's what the page should be called in Wikipedia, otherwise it's basically advertising and implies that Mafi is the only roll trailer provider. That page can have references to Mafi and other brands, where relevant and notable. If a brand has notability, then the brand can have its own separate page for example, https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sellotape vs https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pressure-sensitive_tape.
