He is recognized for his conservative commentary on platforms like Instagram, X, and Facebook, where he has amassed over 5 million followers as of 2025.[1][2]
O'Handley began his career as an attorney, admitted to the California State Bar in 2011. Following the 2016 U.S. presidential election, O'Handley launched an Instagram account under the pseudonym "DC Draino," referencing Donald Trump's "drain the swamp" slogan.[1] The account gained traction for its conservative memes and commentary, prompting him to leave his legal career in 2018 to focus on social media content creation.[10] He relocated to Tampa, Florida, where he founded a digital media company.[10]
