Not Notable

[edit]

This individual is Not Notable. Clearly there was a conspiracy to keep him, using only IMDB as a source of information has never been the standard for Wikipedia users to determine Wikipedia notability. I want this rediscussed with a broader user base to review for themselves. Slyforeman (talk) 20:08, 16 September 2010 (UTC)Reply

Merge proposal

[edit]

Support the March proposal to merge The Hermitt with this page. Merging to the Lopresti page seems like the better destination, as the broader topic. Klbrain (talk) 16:06, 30 April 2024 (UTC)Reply

COI edit request: update recent career and filmography

[edit]

I am Rodrigo Lopresti, the subject of this article, so I have a conflict of interest and am requesting that an independent editor review these proposed updates.

The Career section currently ends with work from approximately 2011, and the filmography ends in 2020. I would like to propose the following neutral, sourced additions reflecting more recent work.

Proposed addition to Career

[edit]

In 2024, Lopresti directed, produced and acted in the feature film Heart Brakers, with Maayan Laufer also serving as a producer and cast member.[1]

In 2025, Lopresti served as cinematographer and editor on Alison Bartlett's short documentary A Vital Sun, narrated by Ben Stiller. The film won the Environmental Impact Award at the 2025 Tribeca X Awards.[2][3]

Proposed addition to Filmography

[edit]

Add the following entry above the 2020 entry:

Year Film Role Notes
2024 Heart Brakers Leo Fares Feature film; director and producer[4]

Thank you for reviewing these additions. ~2026-47777-48 (talk) 15:26, 4 September 2026 (UTC)Reply

Addressing these requests individually

Not done: Prime Video isn't an acceptable source and I couldn't find any independent coverage of this. Please see WP:IS.

In 2025, Lopresti served as cinematographer and editor on Alison Bartlett's short documentary A Vital Sun

Not done: Again, no independent coverage.

Proposed addition to Filmography

Not done: see above, needs independent sources.

COI edit request: RandM Pink Films

[edit]

I am Rodrigo Lopresti, the subject of this article, so I have a conflict of interest and am requesting that an independent editor review this proposed addition.

I would like to propose a brief update to the Career section concerning RandM Pink Films. I have kept the wording factual and limited to verifiable information.

Proposed addition to Career

[edit]

In 2016, Lopresti co-founded the New York film production and post-production company RandM Pink Films with filmmaker and actress Maayan Laufer.[1] Full Sail University identifies Lopresti as a filmmaker with RandM Pink Films,[2] and Prime Video credits RandM Pink Films as the studio behind the 2024 feature film Heart Brakers.[3]

Thank you for reviewing this proposed addition. ~2026-47777-48 (talk) 15:29, 4 September 2026 (UTC)Reply

COI edit request: improve sourcing for career

[edit]

I am Rodrigo Lopresti, the subject of this article, and therefore have a conflict of interest. I am requesting that an independent editor consider improving the sourcing of several existing statements in the Career section.

The article currently carries a notice requesting additional citations for this biography of a living person. The following independent sources may help verify existing career information already present in the article.

Suggested sources for existing career material

[edit]

For Lopresti's work on I'm Not Me and participation in the IFP Independent Filmmaker Labs:

[1]

For Lopresti's work as an actor and co-director:

[2]

For Lopresti's producer credit on A Song Still Inside:

[3]

Apple TV also identifies Lopresti as a starring cast member of A Song Still Inside:

[4]

TV Guide provides an independent overview of Lopresti's television and film acting credits, including FBI, Castle Rock, The Sinner, Vinyl, Blindspot, and Blue Bloods:

[5]

I am not requesting promotional wording or additional claims here, only offering independent sources that may help strengthen verification of material already included in the biography.

Thank you for reviewing these sources. ~2026-47777-48 (talk) 15:32, 4 September 2026 (UTC)Reply

Addressing individually

For Lopresti's work on I'm Not Me and participation in the IFP Independent Filmmaker Labs:

Not done: This is a statement by the co-director on the project. See WP:NEWSOPED.

For Lopresti's work as an actor and co-director

Not done: This is a statement by the subject himself.

For Lopresti's producer credit on A Song Still Inside

Not done: This is just a list of names and titles. I don't think it adds anything over the IMDB source.

Apple TV also identifies Lopresti as a starring cast member of A Song Still Inside

Not done: The streaming platform isn't an acceptable source.

TV Guide provides an independent overview of Lopresti's television and film acting credits

Not done: I don't think this adds anything over the IMDB source.

COI edit request: filmography cleanup and missing credits

[edit]

I am Rodrigo Lopresti, the subject of this article, and therefore have a conflict of interest. I am requesting that an independent editor review several factual corrections, missing credits, and sourcing improvements in the Filmography section.

This request is intended as a cleanup of the existing filmography and is separate from my earlier request concerning the newer film Heart Brakers.

Missing television credits

[edit]

The current filmography omits Lopresti's appearance in the first season of The Sinner. TV Guide includes The Sinner among Lopresti's acting credits, and episode cast listings identify him as Gabe in the 2017 episode "Part VII".[1][2]

Proposed row:

Year Film/television Role Notes
2017 The Sinner Gabe Episode: "Part VII"

The current filmography also omits Lopresti's appearance in The Black Donnellys. TV Guide lists the series among his acting credits, and episode/cast sources place him in the 2007 episode "The Only Thing Sure".[3][4]

Available cast information identifies the character as Jojo. I defer to the reviewing editor as to whether the available sourcing is sufficient to include the character name.

Stronger sourcing for existing television credits

[edit]

The existing 2019 FBI entry ("A New Dawn") can be supported by CBS/Paramount's official press listing, which identifies Rodrigo Lopresti as Professor Will Kelly.[5]

The existing 2012 Blue Bloods entry ("Mother's Day") can likewise be supported by CBS/Paramount's official cast listing, which identifies Rodrigo Lopresti as Keith Daley.[6]

The Challenger role wording

[edit]

The existing 2015 entry lists Lopresti's role in The Challenger as "Pete the Cameraman". TV Guide's full cast listing identifies the credit as "Cameraman".[7]

I suggest changing the Role field to "Cameraman" if the editor considers that source preferable.

Typographical correction

[edit]

The 2010 film title is currently written as The Imperialsists Are Still Alive!. The correct title is The Imperialists Are Still Alive!.

I am not requesting that every acting credit be added indiscriminately. These changes are intended to correct omissions and errors and improve the reliability of the filmography using independent or official sources.

Thank you for reviewing the proposed cleanup. ~2026-47777-48 (talk) 15:38, 4 September 2026 (UTC)Reply

Addressing individually.

The current filmography omits Lopresti's appearance in the first season of The Sinner

Done

The current filmography also omits Lopresti's appearance in The Black Donnellys

Not done: none of these seem like good reliable sources for the whole claim.

Stronger sourcing for existing television credits

Not done: these sources aren't independent and give no detail beyond a thin listing of the name. I don't think it improves the sourcing.

COI edit request: A Vital Sun — revised sourcing

[edit]

I am Rodrigo Lopresti, the subject of this article, and therefore have a conflict of interest. I am requesting review by an independent editor.

A previous request concerning A Vital Sun was declined because of insufficient independent sourcing. I am resubmitting the request with additional sourcing.

I propose adding the following sentence to the Career section:

In 2025, Lopresti served as cinematographer and editor on Alison Bartlett's short documentary A Vital Sun, which won the Environmental Impact Award at the 2025 Tribeca X Awards.

Sources:

  • Tribeca's official page for A Vital Sun lists Rodrigo Lopresti as both Editor and Cinematographer:

https://tribecafilm.com/tribecax/official-selections/vital-sun-2025

  • Independent coverage from Culture Mix identifies A Vital Sun as the winner of the Environmental Impact Award:

https://culturemixonline.com/2025-tribeca-festival-complete-list-of-winners/

  • Additional independent coverage of the Tribeca X awards from The Cinema Group also identifies A Vital Sun as the Environmental Impact Award winner:

https://thecinemagroup.co/2025/06/13/2025-6-13-tribeca-2025-awards-charliebird-happy-birthday-and-natchez-lead-the-winners-circle/

The Tribeca source is being used for the straightforward crew credits, while the independent sources support the film's Tribeca X award.

Thank you for reviewing this revised request. ~2026-47777-48 (talk) 22:43, 1 October 2026 (UTC)Reply
