Article name

Why is this article at "Rod Marsh" rather than "Rodney Marsh"? I never heard him called anything except "Rodney Marsh", and he is certainly better known than the footballer of the same name. Deb (talk) 08:44, 4 March 2022 (UTC)

I think it's subjective to say that he is "certainly better known" than the footballer - that would not be the case in the UK. Plus Rodney Marsh the footballer has never been known as Rod, only Rodney. References to Chris Cairns' "guilt"

Cairns' own article makes no such claim. He was investigated, and acquitted. He successfully sued someone for libel for claiming he was a match fixer. He was charged with perjury for statements made during the libel trial, and was acquitted. Ergo, he remains legally not guilty of anything. If Rod Marsh believed he was guilty, so be it, but we can't besmirch Cairns' name on that basis. -- Jack of Oz ^{[pleasantries]} 21:56, 30 January 2025 (UTC)
