Marx
[edit]This article should, I think, mention Marx's references to its subject matter.
Other Works
[edit]Wouldn't the book (& two movies) "Flight of the Phoenix" be included in this genre? --Joe Webster (talk) 09:33, 25 January 2010 (UTC)
- I'm also surprised that the mid-60s tv sitcom "Gilligan's Island" isn't mentioned in this article. Is it a requirement that "Robinson" must be somehow included in the title or as the name of one of the characters to be included? -- llywrch (talk) 00:00, 8 August 2022 (UTC)
WorldCat Genres
[edit]Hello, I'm working with OCLC, and we are algorithmically generating data about different Genres, like notable Authors, Book, Movies, Subjects, Characters and Places. We have determined that this Wikipedia page has a close affintity to our detected Genere of adventure-fiction. It might be useful to look at for more information. Thanks. Computer games?
[edit]Is it worth mentioning the genre of stranded crafting games like Minecraft, Terraria, The Forest, etc.? Those are clearly interactive Robinsonades. --Irrevenant [ talk ] 02:30, 3 October 2024 (UTC)
Worth mentioning: “Lost in Space”—the 1965-2018 TV/film franchise.
[edit]The 1965 sci-fi TV series “Lost in Space” (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lost_in_Space) was explicitly robinsonade as dramatic satire, inspired by "The Swiss Family Robinson", and featuring the "space family" Robinson drifting from world to world in a damaged spaceship, surviving all manner of mishaps with the local indigenous populations and frequent sabotage by the scheming Dr. Zachary Smith. This was remade into a star-studded sci-fi action movie in 1998 (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lost_in_Space_(film)) and then again as a sci-fi action TV series by Netflix in 2018 (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lost_in_Space_(2018_TV_series)).
