Epstein Ties
[edit]What would be the best way to incorporate Leach's ties to Epstein into this article? he is named numerous times as an attendee of sex parties Epstein and Maxwell hosted in the 90s where they raped children. However, he died before he could be prosecuted and proven guilty. Does it warrant its own section? Inclusion in the lede? TheMiddleWest (talk) 17:05, 24 February 2026 (UTC)
- well first of all, we need reliable sources that say that
- the Epstein files itself are primary sources and are basically not usable as a source, especially since this could fall into WP:BLP territory, which has higher sourcing standards
- e.g. if CNN states that he attended sex parties hosted by Epstein, we can include it but if an E-Mail from the files says it, we can't Laura240406 (talk) 19:52, 24 February 2026 (UTC)
- while there could also be the concern of due weight, I think that it would definitely warrant inclusion in the article (and also the lead if enough reliable sources talk about it) Laura240406 (talk) 19:53, 24 February 2026 (UTC)
- Here is a reference

- I'm pretty sure that it fails the higher BLP sourcing standards (see WP:DAILYBEAST) Laura240406 (talk) 14:31, 9 March 2026 (UTC)
