I am Robert Lecker, the subject of this article, and therefore have a conflict of interest with respect to this article. Rather than editing the article directly, I would appreciate it if an uninvolved editor could update the Selected bibliography section by adding the following publication: Lecker, Robert, editor. Do You Want To Be Happy and Write?: Critical Essays on Michael Ondaatje. Montreal: McGill-Queen's University Press, 2023. This edited collection brings together twenty scholarly essays on Michael Ondaatje's poetry and fiction.
