His age
[edit]I believe he must have been born in 1943. The NYTimes said he was 42 at his death in mid-July 1986; he was about to turn 43.
I believe that his name rhymes with the English words cover and uncover, pronounced the same way as lover and hover. This is how people at Yale pronounce it in any event; and I pronounced it that way with his neice a few times, and she didn't object.
