Peacock cleanup, notability concern (February 2026)
[edit]Cleanup addressing the {{Peacock}} (October 2025) tag. The {{Third-party}} (October 2025) tag is retained as all sources remain first-party.
Peacock language removed
[edit]- Lead paragraph: replaced brochure-style service enumeration ("disease prevention, primary care, diagnostics, neurosciences, oncology, orthopedics...") with concise encyclopedic description
- "large multi-specialty group practice in the state of Virginia" → "multi-specialty group practice in Virginia"
- "among the first provider groups to use electronic medical records" — removed; sourced only to the organisation's own residency page, not an independent source
- "follows a multidisciplinary approach to care" — removed; generic puffery
Other fixes
[edit]- Bare external link to ontheworldmap.com in prose replaced with plain text "eastern Virginia"
- Infobox: trimmed key_people from four executives with full credential suffixes (M.D., MSN, RN, NE-BC, CPA) to CEO only; the original read like a corporate org chart
- Removed EMR ref (riversideonline.com residency page) — no longer needed after claim removal
Tag changes
[edit]- {{Peacock}} — removed. Promotional language eliminated.
- {{Third-party}} — retained. Every reference in the article points to riversideonline.com or riverside.edu. No independent reliable sources exist.
- {{Notability}} — added. With zero third-party sources, the article does not currently demonstrate that the subject meets WP:GNG. The organisation may well be notable (multiple hospitals, 9,500 employees, over a century of operation), but independent coverage is needed to establish this.
- {{Multiple issues}} wrapper retained for the two remaining tags.
Remaining work
[edit]- Independent sources needed to address both
{{Third-party}}and{{Notability}}— news coverage, health system rankings, regulatory filings - No history section despite 110+ year history
- Employee count sourced to Riverside's own press release — find the actual Forbes source
- Operations section relies entirely on riversideonline.com
