Where does the Beane rise

Following an anonymous edit I crawled over the 1:25000 map and confirmed that the Beane appears to rise around Roe Green, SW of Sandon, Hertfordshire, though this is not evident at 1:50000. I wonder what effect the reported over-exploitation of the chalk aquifer in its upper reaches has? Pterre (talk) 10:52, 9 October 2011 (UTC)Reply
