Toning-down: done

[edit]

As per the system request, I've made suggestions for simplifying this (oh boy, a list of stuff):

  • Streamlined verbiage (as my uncle would say, "Eschew obfuscation!")
  • Simplified gratuitous repetitions of company and executive names
  • Reduced size of product-entry headers (to avoid promotional appearance)

Thanks for another excellent editing opportunity to keep my aging brain sharp. And if you do this yourself, for God's sake get a mechanical keyboard. You'll thank me. – AndyFielding (talk) 22:19, 16 June 2022 (UTC)Reply

Edit request: Overview section

[edit]

I have a conflict of interest as I work with RingCentral through their communications agency, so I will not edit the article directly. However, there are factual inaccuracies and outdated information in the Overview section. I propose the following changes, supported by independent reliable sources:

* **Remove office locations**

  - Remove: “The company is headquartered in Belmont, California with other US offices in Denver, Charlotte, and Dallas. It has international offices in Canada, the UK, France, Bulgaria, Spain, China, India, the Netherlands, Israel, Australia, South Korea, Switzerland, Germany, Ireland, and the Philippines.[better source needed]”

  - Reason: This section is flagged as needing a better source, and no reliable independent sources could be found. Per verifiability standards, it should be removed.

**Add product update**

  - Add: “In 2025, RingCentral released RingCentral AI Receptionist (AIR). Industry coverage described the release as part of a shift beyond UCaaS and CCaaS toward a broader enterprise AI communications platform.”  [1] [2] [3] [4]

    • Add recognition**

  - Add: “RingCentral has been included in Gartner’s Magic Quadrant for UCaaS for 10 consecutive years.”  [5] [6]

These edits are intended to ensure accuracy and reflect recent coverage in reliable, independent sources. Shelbycorradino (talk) 15:13, 19 September 2025 (UTC)Reply

Edit request: Product Section

[edit]

I have a conflict of interest as I work with RingCentral through their communications agency, so I will not edit the article directly. The Products section currently references legacy platforms (e.g., Glip, MVP) and omits current offerings. I propose removing outdated information and updating the section to reflect RingCentral’s present-day portfolio, based on reliable third-party coverage. All descriptions are factual and non-promotional.

* **Remove** - “RingCentral Office” (product branding no longer in use)

  - “RingCentral Glip” (discontinued, replaced by integrated messaging within RingEX)
  - Outdated details about MVP bundles

* **Add current product portfolio**

RingEX: RingEX is RingCentral’s unified communications-as-a-service (UCaaS) platform that integrates business phone, video conferencing, team messaging, SMS, and fax. Industry reviews highlight reliability, analytics, and compatibility with CRM/productivity tools, while noting its depth may present a learning curve for smaller teams. RingEX integrates with Microsoft Teams via RingCentral for Teams 2.0, described as a “next-gen” UC app enabling built-in calling, voicemail transcription, bi-directional presence syncing, and unified contact search. [7] [8]

RingEX also powers Vodafone Business UC, a joint solution covering more than 30 countries. [9]

AI Receptionist (AIR): AIR is RingCentral’s generative AI-powered voice agent launched in 2025. It answers inbound calls, routes by name/context, and sends SMS confirmations. Industry sources highlight features such as customizable greetings, analytics, multilingual support, and HIPAA compliance. [10] [11]

As of mid-2025, RingCentral reported 2,000+ businesses using AIR, with expanded features such as multi-location routing and Spanish-language support. [12]

RingCX: RingCX is a cloud-native contact center-as-a-service (CCaaS) platform launched in 2023, supporting voice, email, SMS, chat, and messaging platforms. It integrates with RingEX and includes AI tools for agent assist, supervisor assist, transcription, post-call summaries, CRM integrations, and automated quality management. [13] [14]

By mid-2025, RingCX was used by 1,000+ businesses, including large-scale deployments. Case studies report faster call handling and efficiency gains through RingSense AI. [15] [16]

RingCentral Contact Center: RingCentral Contact Center remains the enterprise-grade CCaaS platform, offering IVR, intelligent routing, workforce engagement, and CRM integrations. RingCX was introduced in 2023 as a separate cloud-native solution designed for mid-market organizations. [17] [18]

RingSense: RingSense is RingCentral’s conversation intelligence engine, embedded across RingEX and RingCX. It provides real-time transcription, AI summaries, sentiment analysis, and coaching insights. Analysts note its impact on contact center efficiency. [19] [20]

RingCentral Video / Events: RingCentral Video powers meetings, webinars, and hybrid events. In 2023, RingCentral acquired assets from Hopin (Events and Sessions products), rebranded as RingCentral Events and RingCentral Sessions. These platforms provide registration, live streaming, engagement tools, analytics, and CRM integration. [21] [22]

In 2025, RingCentral introduced Studio (a video production toolkit) and AI Clips (AI highlight reels). [23]

AI Assist Tools: RingCentral’s AI suite includes: AI Agent Assist, with real-time guidance during live interactions; AI Notes, with automatic summaries and action items; and AI Quality Management with automated evaluation and scoring of customer interactions. [24] [25]

Edit request: History section

[edit]

I have a conflict of interest as I work with RingCentral through their communications agency, so I will not edit the article directly. The History section currently contains outdated and incomplete information. I propose the following updates, with citations from reliable independent sources:

* **Executive leadership**

 After: “Mo Katibeh, formerly of AT&T, was appointed President and COO in January 2022.[27][28]”

  - Add: “In February 2025, RingCentral appointed Kira Makagon—formerly Chief Innovation Officer and Chief Marketing Officer—as its President and Chief Operating Officer, overseeing product, technology, channel and direct sales, customer success, marketing, and business operations.” [26] [27] [28]

 After: “On August 28, 2023, Tarek Robbiati was appointed CEO.”

  - Add: “In December 2023, founder Vlad Shmunis returned to the CEO role.”  [29] [30] [31]

* **Product releases**

  - After: “In May 2025, RingCentral launched RingCX for Salesforce Service Cloud Voice,[34]”

  - Add: “Later that year, in July 2025, RingCentral released its AI Receptionist—a generative AI-powered voice agent designed to automate front desk call handling using natural language processing.” [32] [33] [34] [35]

* **Company scale**

  - Add: “As of 2025, RingCentral supports more than 400,000 businesses worldwide. Synergy Research Group has named RingCentral the global leader in cloud communications by revenue and subscribers.”  [36] [37] [38] [39] [40] [41]

* **Notable partnerships**

  - Add: “In 2018, the Golden State Warriors selected RingCentral as a Founding Partner of the Chase Center and their exclusive enterprise cloud communications provider. Industry coverage described the deal as a milestone in RingCentral’s expansion into large-scale enterprise deployments.” [42] [43] [44] [45]
