Not sure why Blundstones are sold there. We oftn use T boots as an all round boot. City shops often think that they sould suit because they has ES.Cgoodwin (talk) 07:12, 19 April 2008 (UTC)

Huh? ES? I will say that there is plenty of stuff of dubious usefulness (and even safety) sold in US tack shops, too. I was mostly just ribbing you because when I went cruising tack stores down there looking at Aussie saddles, the people who have me rides (I was too freaked out to drive on the "wrong" side of the road! LOL) spent all their time while waiting for me trying on Blundstones in the shoe section! LOL! Montanabw^(talk) 05:37, 20 April 2008 (UTC)

RM Williams (dec) brand is the big name in riding boots in AUS and there really should be an article on him. I may get around to it one day. He was known as the bushmans outfitter, bred Arabians and contributed to the Stockmans Hall of Fame etc. Most his (former) shop gear nowadays is targeting the tourist trade (and the dollars from same). I stopped wearing Williams boots when we were getting less for a fat bullock than what we paid for their boots. Cgoodwin (talk) 06:07, 20 April 2008 (UTC)

If you create such an article, check out cowboy boot, which has links to several boot brand articles, they may give you some ideas. An equivalent brand here for western boots that are getting equally pricy, though excellent quality is probably Tony Lama. Of course, when it comes to the cowboy boot, no leather is too exotic: rattlesnake skin, alligator, ostrich...!
