The 1954 reference must be wrong since the equation is not present in this paper. Check if it is present in the 1958 book.


I think the model given on this page would look much better in the formula typeset (ie LaTeX format)

I have been recently pointed out that K is not exactly the carrying capacity. Instead "K is the number above which the stabilizing force tends to reduce the abundance in the next generation, but the population can be above K."
