I see that you also removed three categories: British opera companies, Opera in the United Kingdom, Opera in London. Please can you explain the rationale for that? Those are also valid categories for this page.
If I don't hear a convincing reason by 23rd August I will restore those categories to the page.
Hi there, I removed those categories because they are parent categories of Opera companies in London. Generally I try to put articles into the most specific category possible, unless one of the parent categories is non-diffusing (ie, I know that Category:Operas is non-diffusing). Generally I feel this is the most useful for navigating articles, so a user isn’t overwhelmed. ForsythiaJo (talk) 18:36, 27 July 2025 (UTC)Reply
