Death and Legacy: 50th Anniversary of the book One man's Wilderness
[edit]The text says that the book was released in 1973. Later on it is stated that a Fiftieth Anniversary Hardcover "Commemorative Edition" was released in 2013. The math doesn't add up on this. It was either the fourtieth anniversary of the book, or the commemorative editing was released in 2023. - According to Amazon info, the 50th Anniversary edition was published 25th October 2018, marking 50 years since the beginning of his Alaskan Odyssey in 1968. ConnollySM (talk) 07:39, 28 August 2025 (UTC)
Cabin Building
[edit]Although his wonderful adventure was more about freedom and self-fulfillment than construction, having owned cabins myself, he should have made stone footers. The first course of logs should be above the snow line.
