Assessment

[edit]

I've assessed this article as C-Class. The article provides adequate coverage of Richard John Parfitt's career as both musician and writer with reasonable sourcing from reliable publications including The Telegraph, AllMusic, and academic sources. It covers his major career phases from The 60ft. Dolls through his work with Duffy and Dido to his academic career and writing achievements. The content is well-organised chronologically and includes appropriate external links and categories. However, the article lacks depth in several areas - there's minimal biographical information, limited detail about his academic work and publications, and no critical analysis of his contributions to music or literature. The writing could be more polished and some sections feel underdeveloped. While it goes beyond Stub-Class with its adequate sourcing and coverage of multiple career aspects, it needs expansion and deeper treatment to reach B-Class standard.
