[edit]TheSeer - you may have deleted another Richard M. Moose before, but this one is historically significant - U.S. Politician. Reports directly to the Secretary of State. I have already contributed two articles. Please let me complete the series.
Affair with Staffer
[edit]He famously had an affair with a much younger staff assistant with whom he frequently traveled. When his wife found out, she drove to the State Department's C Street entrance, which was open to traffic in those days, and began dumping out his clothes, personal items, etc., in front of the Department. She was quite upset, yelling at everyone around and telling them what had happened, and yelling at the guards who tried to stop/calm her. A little bit of excitement at State that day. : ) He resigned not that long afterward.
