English/British
[edit]I've again reverted Lemon Lander's nationality back to Cornish. Just because Cornwall is now within England does not automatically mean that every historical Cornish figure can be rebranded English - nationality is far more complicated that the location in which a person was born and more about a persons identity (The Duke of Wellington was born in Dublin, but is on record as regarding himself as English). Cornwall is not simple just another county and even today Cornish is a government recognised minority nationality within the UK, so it is perfectly reasonable to describe Lemon Lander as Cornish. It is also reasonable to change this to British, which would provide more information, but I feel that, especially considering the nature of these persistent anonomous single use edits, that this relabelling as English is an effort to undermine the Cornish nationality, rather than clarification and thus pov (Oh and by the way, rotating your IP address every time you make one of these pov motivated edits is not fooling anyone into thinking that this is a group of many editors with the same opinions - anyone with an ounce of computer knowledge can trace these edits back to the same server box line). If a reference can be found where Lemon Lander refers to himself as English rather than British or Cornish then I would be happy to change it, but I somehow doubt that he ever thought of himself that way. Lander's nationality
[edit]I tried to correct it to Cornish, as it is the accurate nationality but it has reverted back to British. I wish to dispute this as I disagree with sentiment. Cornish is a recognised ethnic minority in the UK and Richard Lander is a huge deal within cornish history. To exclude his correct nationality is a disservice to him and cornish people, and is erasure of a group of people who are already massively underrepresented ~2026-28406-80 (talk) 22:43, 11 May 2026 (UTC)
