Wrong hyperlink
[edit]"Exordium" in the section titled "Canon" does not hyperlink to the word exordium. 2600:1700:61E0:F450:864:BC14:8697:3F3 (talk) 18:46, 11 October 2023 (UTC)
- I'm not sure what you mean. I checked it and it does link to Exordium (rhetoric). ― Blaze WolfTalkblaze__wolf 19:04, 11 October 2023 (UTC)

Talk Page Archive needed
[edit]This talk page is very long and many discussions appear to be closed. Could someone start an archive for this talk page? I have attempted to do so (check the source edit), but my skills are not up to the task to complete this action. Zifmer (talk) 03:00, 4 December 2023 (UTC)
- I've done so. Remsense留 03:41, 4 December 2023 (UTC)
Unclear history section
[edit]The article talks about the different orators in the West from Cicero on, but not how the study grew or decayed from the Classical world to the Medieval and so on. It just lists the authors and their works in a vacuum. 2603:7000:D03A:5895:21E2:8727:9725:21D9 (talk) 12:36, 14 April 2024 (UTC)

Small edits add a mention of 19th century pedagogy under "Course of Study"
[edit]I recognize that some parts of this article have been hotly contested, but Rhetoric and Rhetoric: Pedagogy could easily be separated into two independent topics. Just a thought.
I wanted to inset a short statement about the 19th century under course of study. I cited only one source: a Rhetoric Society Quarterly article by James A. Berlin, but this is a placeholder for a more complete description that could be filled in on changes in how rhetoric is seen and taught. Closcholar (talk) 07:28, 16 March 2026 (UTC)
